District 9 Review

It's about time I review one of my most favorite sci-fi films to be released in recent years, the kick-ass, alien documentary, District 9. And will start off by saying, WHAT A MOVIE IT IS! This film has great special effects, great story, and weird arthropod aliens that talk in a weird clicking noise. I also enjoyed the acting by actors like Sharlto Copley and Robert Hobbs. Overall, this is on of the best movies of the year, and one of the best sci-fi thrillers I have ever seen.

What makes this movie remarkable is something that words can’t describe. The story is so well thought out, you think maybe God wrote it or something. I also enjoyed the high-flying action scenes that strayed far from the action in Star Trek and X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but still came out eminent. I really enjoyed the overall relationship between the humans and the aliens in this movie. And like I said, these aliens are not your average E.T., Kingdom of the Crystal Skull or A.L.F. aliens. These are the strangest, most ackward creatures I have ever seen. They speak in this weird clicking noise and cause a lot of  havoc in this film. They look like a bunch of beetles mixed in with the Nite Owl and Ponda Baba from Star Wars. But in the end, they really nailed it when it came to developing these aliens.

In the end, District 9 is a great film. It’s just odd how there is another movie out at the time called 9. If anything, I wish one of these movies could have been called something else, 9 being called “The Stitchpunks” or something like that. But District 9 was a great film, I truly enjoyed it. If you are a big sci-fi fan, and love a film with good story, good action, and great visual effects, you are going to love District 9. It will blow you away.
