Some of My Favorite Godzilla Monsters

There are many different Godzilla monsters out there. There’s Godzilla himself, Minilla, Ghidorah, Rodan, Mothra, I could go on forever. But there are five Godzilla monsters that I would like to pay tribute to. So, here it is, an little Ode to some of the best monsters in Toei’s Godzilla franchise. I hope you enjoy!

Super Mecha Godzilla

Yes, the time has come to talk about Super Mecha Godzilla. Obviously more powerful than the original Mecha Godzilla, Super Mecha Godzilla is armed with many blasters, as well as blades and finger missiles. He is so powerful, he has beaten Godzilla many times in battle, and has even beaten Rodan! Luckily, he is eventually taken down by Godzilla, and everything turns out right in the end, but Super Mecha Godzilla would return again, and spread havoc throughout Tokyo once more! Personally, I think the regular Mecha Godzilla is better, but Super Mecha Godzilla deserves so recognition, for he is one of the most powerful monsters in Godzilla history.

Jet Jaguar

Created by Goro Ibuki, Jet Jaguar is a legendary robot that is practically mindless at first. However, he later learns to control himself and go on to help Godzilla defeat Gigan and Megalon. He is also able to shrink to normal size and fly. He is also a good singer and in the end, becomes a great ally and friend to Godzilla, it would have been awesome to see him fight in the final battle. He has also starred in many video games, and is one of the most powerful allies ever to help Godzilla fight in battle.

King Kong

I love King Kong. He is one of the most inspirational monsters ever to hit the face of the Earth. But its epic to nknow that he had confronted Godzilla. Originally supposed to be Frankenstein’s monster, King Kong for some reason is the same size as Godzilla, who is much larger in reality, and is able to lift things bigger than himself. In many brutal fights, King Kong is often beaten by the giant dinosaur of death, but always gets back on his feet and takes Godzilla down. It’s really badass to see two of my favorite monsters duke it out in an epic battle.

Gigan

Yes, he is one of Godzilla’s greatest foes. In his first few films, Gigan is teamed up with Megalon, and the two are often seen fighting Godzilla and Jet Jaguar. But Godzilla, being as prudent as he always is, is able to outnumber Gigan on severally occasions, including beheading him in Godzilla: Final Wars. I believe Gigan to be one of Godzilla’s most iconic foes, with his long talons and long sharp tail, but like most enemies, this guy is always taken down, even by Mothra!

Kumonga

As much as a dislike spiders, Kumonga is still a fearsome villain to Godzilla. Able to shoot webs and capture prey, Kumonga is first fought by Godzilla ‘s son, Minilla (also called Minya), and is able to defeat the little guy. Fortunately, Godzilla shows up, and with their atomic power, they are both able to toast this bad boy. But this wasn’t the end for Kumonga. He came back in Godzilla: Final Wars, and fight Godzilla again, and Godzilla grabs the spider’s webbing and swings this guy into oblivion. What a way to die. But overall, he’s a mighty powerful arachnid.

Well, I hoped you enjoyed my ode to some of my favorite Godzilla, and like I said before, there are tons of them. But I narrowed it down to five, and I hope that you enjoyed this. Have a good day and avoid Godzilla’s fire breathing abilities. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
